Benedict Cumberbatch Addresses Star Wars Rumors

Benedict Cumberbatch is hot right now, so hot he can pretty much pick his movies. In Hollywood, when you’re hot, you ride the wave . There are some who would do anything to be in a Star Wars movie yet despite as hot as Cumberbatch is, he’s not engaged for the upcoming installment of the Star Wars.

So about being hot? Perhaps Cumberbatch isn’t hot enough to be the lead role in the upcoming Star Wars: Episode VII. Cumberbatch tweeted “I would have loved to be in JJ’s new Star Wars but it won’t happen sadly”. This is sad. He was rumored to be involved in the movie for almost a year. He’s been pretty transparent about his interest in being in the film. In fact, Cumberbatch told Conan O’Brien he was calling JJ Abram’s and leaving his messages about being in the new film. He said he would call and “leave messages on his voicemail as a light saber”.

I would have bet that Cumberbatch would be a top pick for the upcoming Star Wars film. We’re still not convinced he’s out just yet because we do believe he would be an excellent fit for the movie. It comes as no surprise he’s interested in being a part of the movie – most actors are. We will continue to keep you posted on the upcoming Star Wars casting.
