It is no secret that Owen (Kevin McKidd) and Amelia (Caterina Scorsone) have had a turbulent relationship over the years, but their latest fight has fans wondering if this might be the end of their romance. Will their differences finally get the best of them?

Owen and Amelia have a history of ups and downs and were never truly thought of as a long-term couple. The two originally started dating right after Owen lost the love of his life, Cristina (Sandra Oh), who relocated to Sweden.

After outlasting what many considered a rebound, they got hitched only to discover they completely disagreed on the topic of children.

After Amelia opted to hide in a hotel to avoid the issue, Owen fought for a divorce. Then they discovered that Amelia was acting crazy because she had a tumor growing inside her brain. After said tumor was surgically removed, Amelia and Owen’s relationship stabilized, at least until this season.

According to TV Guide, the two butted heads in the wake of Britney’s (Peyton Kennedy) disappearance. The situation was made worse when her parents came into town and threatened to take Leo home.

Owen and Amelia had a massive argument over the drama, making it clear that they do not know how to fight without hitting the lowest of lows.

Although Owen and Amelia might still find a way back to each other, Teddy’s (Kim Raver) reappearance this season has complicated things even further. Teddy seems to be really into Koracick (Gregg Germann), but there is little debate that she would give Owen a second chance if he asked her. There’s also the fact that she’s carrying his child, which only makes everything trickier.

We can only hope that Owen and Amelia work things out, but it’s looking more and more like they are headed for a complete disaster.
