If you want to be a savage in front of your ex, learn it from Patrick Beverley who recently made his former team pay for what they did to him in August on Tuesday night.

Patrick Beverley is not a scoring maniac but when he gets fired up, the whole game and arena get ignited. The same thing was seen in the play-in tournament’s second game where the Minnesota Timberwolves were against the Los Angeles Clippers. The game was intense between both sides but Anthony Edwards and D’Angelo Russell’s back-to-back clutch scoring and Ignited Beverley in the defensive front brought the game into the Wolves’ favor.

In this hard-fought battle, the Timberwolves were victorious and beat the Clippers by 109-104 to be the 7th seed in the west and qualify for the first-round matchup with Memphis Grizzlies in the 2022 Playoffs. But the person who did the most job in the clutch for the Wolves was Patrick Beverley as he breaks down into tears as if he won the championship rather than a single game in play-in.

While hugging his mother Lisa, Beverley said, “Man, I wanted this one so bad, this is just the icing on the cake, the cherry on top. Play-in, to be able to beat them … another goal scratched off. I told you we were going to the playoffs. Most of you all, y’all looked at me like I was crazy when I first said that. I f—ing told y’all.”

Patrick Beverley lashes out at his former team LA Clippers for not believing in him

Beverley scored seven points, 11 rebounds, and a game-winning steal to seal up the game for Minnesota and he celebrated that turnover in front of the Clippers bench pointing to his Wolves jersey. Well even in the post-game interview Patrick didn’t hold back from taking a shot at his former team, Beverley said:

“Take they ass home, long flight to L.A. Take they ass home. It’s deeper than that for me. I gave my blood and sweat and tears to that organization. You guys know the story.

Patrick added, “Blood, sweat and tears, to just be written off like that, ‘He’s injury-prone. He’s old.’ This, this, that, that. To be able to come here and play them in a play-in and beat they ass, no other feeling, man. No other feeling.”

Beverley was finally able to complete his vow which he made during a press conference in September where he said that he will lead the Minnesota Timberwolves to playoffs. This is the only second time the Wolves have qualified for the postseason game as last time it was when Kevin Garnet led the franchise to playoffs in 2004.

As for the LA Clippers, the season is still on and they need just one victory against the team that becomes victorious in the matchup of the Pelicans and Spurs to make their spot in the playoffs.

Here’s how the NBA fans on Twitter reacted to Patrick Beverley getting emotional after leading the Timberwolves to Playoffs
